Justin (Anton Austin) Miller (Mueller)

Anton Miller was born July 16, 1845 in Bohemia, the son of Anton and Theresia Mueller who came from Oesterreich Germany - Boehmisch trebau (village). The Bohemian spelling of Miller is Mlejnek.

In 1860 the Mueller's came to Kenosha County. At the age of 19, Anton enlisted in the Civil War on September 2, 1864 in Milwaukee. He served in the Co. F - 44th Regiment of the Wisconsin Infantry as a private and mustered out of service July 2, 1865 at Paducah, Kentucky. His occupation was a shoemaker.

Anton married Laura Anne Dressel June 11, 1869 in Milwaukee.

Anton and Family came to a small town, near Butternut, called Town of Lake. In 1878. In 1908, he bought a home and moved to Butternut. He gave his farmland to his son Roman, then later returned to it and spend his final days there. Anton died on August 26, 1939.
