Adolph Kuhlig of Milwaukee, Corporal (provost guard) was slightly
wounded at Gettysburg. He was wounded in the foot and head at Kenesaw Mountain
on June 22, 1864. He was a member of Robert Chivas Post No. 2, G.A.R. Adolph
was a member of Twenty-Sixth Regiment Association. He attended the dedication
of the regimental monument at Gettysburg in 1888. He moved to Southern
Illinois for several years for health reasons. George return and became
clerk in Milwaukee in 1880. He was employed in the Milwaukee city water
department from 1884 to death on October 19, 1889.
