The 26th Wisconsin Infantry's first train trip started in October of 1862. From their post-drill training in Milwaukee, though Washington D.C. for their review march, to Stanford C. H. Virginia, to begin their 'Mud March' towards Fredericksburg.

of 1863. From Manassas Junction, Virginia, though Washington D.C., then
west to Indianapolis, Indiana, ending south at Bridgeport, Alabama to fight
in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
