This is to Certify that John Kleinschmidt is now a Private of Company D. 26th Regt. Wis. Vol. Infantry. He was enrolled on the 7th day of Dec. 1863 in the Town of Racine, State of Wisconsin by B. Peisern, and was mustered in to the Service of the U. S. on the 16th day of January 1864 at Madison, Wisconsin by J. H. Purcell, Lieut. 1st U. S. Infantry.
